Dinamika Harmonisasi Sosial Antara Warga Transmigran Jawa dan Masyarakat Lokal di Nagari Banai

Abstract

This study examines the process of social interaction and integration between transmigrant newcomers and the local community in Nagari Banai. The study aims to understand how these two groups can create social balance through various mechanisms of adaptation, cultural negotiation, and the development of harmonious social relationships. The method used is a qualitative approach with data collection through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document studies. The research findings indicate that social harmonization occurs through a number of dynamics such as recognition of cultural differences, collaboration in economic and social activities, and the active role of community leaders in mediating conflicts and strengthening the values of togetherness. Challenges such as differences in norms, stereotypes, and economic disparities were also found, but they can be managed through open communication and joint efforts to build mutual understanding. The research conclusion emphasizes the importance of an inclusive approach and intercultural dialogue as key strategies in strengthening social cohesion between transmigrant residents and the local community in Nagari Banai, thereby creating a peaceful and sustainable society.
